Counselling in Mirfield, Leeds & online
A kinder way forward.
A safe, non-judgmental space to understand yourself, manage anxiety or depression, and build a more compassionate relationship with who you are.
My approach is rooted in trust, empathy and a belief that when we feel safe enough to be heard, real change becomes possible.

“My own experience of therapy showed me how powerful it can be to feel safe, heard and trusted.”
01 / My journey
Counselling began for me in the client’s chair.
Seeking therapy myself was a life-changing experience. The relationship I built with my therapist was rooted in trust, empathy and the autonomy to take responsibility for my own future. Experiencing that secure, supportive relationship helped me feel more secure within myself — and inspired me to begin studying counselling at university in 2019.
While studying, I volunteered with Getaway Girls, which developed into a role as a Complex Needs Support Worker. Alongside private practice, I have also worked in a professional university counselling role, supporting students with their mental health and wellbeing.
Those beginnings still shape how I work today. I aim to offer the kind of secure therapeutic relationship that gives you space to explore your thoughts, feel genuinely listened to and work through deeper layers of self with kindness rather than judgement.
02 / How I practice
Relationship first. Insight and practical change together.
01
A safe therapeutic relationship
I place trust and empathy at the centre of therapy, creating a nurturing space where you can feel seen, heard and listened to.
02
Understanding the deeper why
Using psychodynamic therapy, we can explore where patterns, habits and ways of relating may have begun and what they mean for you now.
03
Tools for the here and now
I also draw on Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help challenge negative thoughts, manage anxiety or depression and support practical change.
More than coping
Our work is not only about reducing symptoms. It is also about shifting the way you relate to yourself and the world around you. Together, we can gently peel back the layers and move towards a version of yourself that can be met with genuine self-compassion and security.
